WOW! My husband and I went to the steak house for our 1 year wedding anniversary and it was such a great experience! First of all the service was great, everyone was so nice and attentive.
Once we were at our table and had drinks they asked if we wanted a complimentary photo, we of course said sure! They print it out and gave it to us in a card/frame that said happy anniversary on it. Wonderful surprise!!
We had our meal and in between they served us raspberry sorbet with champagne over it! Again, on the house.
When our meal was through we didn't ask for dessert but they brought us a slice of cheesecake with a candle in it that we got to blow out together. Truly the cheesecake was the best one I've ever had!!
We will absolutely be there again!! Such a fun and memorable experience from start to finish. -

This is our most favorite steakhouse ever! The food is perfectly created, the service is impeccable, and you are pleasantly full when you leave with thoughts of what you want to try the next time ! It's our 25th anniversary today and we usually go to Western Village Steakhouse for birthdays, anniversaries, and every other occasion we can think of! If it's an occasion, they do a complimentary picture for you which is a very nice touch. If you get appetizers, alcohol, entrees and desserts, plan to spend a little money but it's totally worth it! We pulled out all the stops and got out for $158, including tip. My pictures will speak for themselves!!
8/9/18--Another 5 star review for the steakhouse at Western Village!! Service was great as always! We went 2 nights ago for our 26th anniversary and were pleased as always! Fresh bread is brought to your table right away. I had a sangria, which is made with Pinot Grigio and vodka and fresh fruit juices. Delicious ! My husband had a glass of house red wine. We decided to skip the appetizer and got salads instead. The salads are large and generous. My husband got a house salad and I got the "steakhouse salad" which was filled with crab and shrimp! For our meals, he got the 10 oz prime rib with baked potato and I got the 6 oz filet mignon. The filet is served with bernaise sauce and melts in your mouth. Dessert was the PB & M ( see the first dessert on the dessert menu picture ). When you order coffee they bring you all the accoutrements --rock candy sugar, little pirouette cookies, etc. This was a Tuesday night and very busy. Reservations are a must.
2/17/19-Always 5 stars ! This was part of our Valentine's Day celebration. We had to wait until the evening of the 17th as they were booked the 14th, 15th, and 16th. Our server was Cheyenne and she was super attentive and gave superb service !! We pulled out all the stops and got drinks, appetizer, entrees and shared a dessert. I had a pumpkin pie martini that was out of this world and my husband had a couple glasses of the house red wine. Our appetizer was the jumbo prawn cocktail, 4 of the biggest prawns you have ever seen in your life! Even the house salads and basket of bread is quality. Real butter with the bread. After salads, you are served pineapple sorbet floating in champagne to cleanse your palette before your meal. We each had filet mignon and a lobster tail. The lobster is Australian and melts in your mouth. The drawn butter is served with a small sterno that keeps it warm. We were stuffed but had to share a dessert so we tried the snickerdoodle cobbler, which is apples, caramel, and a butter pecan gelato. Delightful! Our next special occasion will be my husband's birthday in May. We always go on a special occasion so we always get the picture and have quite the collection!
8/7/2019---It is always a 5 star experience at the Steakhouse at Western Village! Our 27th Anniversary was 8/8 and we always celebrate it at the steakhouse ! The past 2 times our server has been Sam and he makes sure that our experience is special in every way ! I decided to try a pomegranate martini this time, it was quite refreshing and delicious ! We cannot pass up the jumbo prawn cocktail and this time I tried a Beer Cheese Soup that had chunks of prosciutto in it. Out of this world. Our entrees were perfect in every way and we shared a dessert which was a chocolate pot de creme. We always look forward to the steakhouse at western village for our special occasions ! -

Hands down best steak house in Reno area. There are so many things I love about this place.
First of all, the sorbet they offered after soup/salad is just amazing. All the 3 flavors I had the past 3 time I went there are just so good. Im not a ice cream/sorbet person but their sorbet changed me forever. Seriously its so good I can write an essay about it.
Secondly, their blackened prime rib and macadamia sea bass are just too good to miss. The prime rib was cooked to perfection that it melted in your mouth. If you dont like too much spices on your meat then stay with regular prime rib. However if you like your meat packed with some spices, herb and a lil kick like me then get it blackened.
Last but not least, their service is amazing. Khanh went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of although the place was fully booked.
We left with happy tummies. I will always pick this place over any steak house in Reno as long as I can get a reservation. -

Service here is stellar to say the least. Nice ambiance and because its a smallish upscale restaurant it doesn't seem crowded. They have short hours, 4:30 to 9:00, so be sure to make reservations. On the downside and that's why I gave them a 3 is the food, not stellar, not even memorable considering the prices. Bring a roll of cash or your platinum card folks. Supposedly one of the best Steakhouses in Reno. I think not, but still we enjoyed being out with family and trying somewhere new. What can I say? Win some and loose some I guess.

TLDR;
I have been coming here with my family for as long as I can remember (10+ years). It says something about a place that can maintain high-quality food, service, and experience over such a long period of time. Between high-quality food & price, YOU WILL NOT find a better steakhouse in Reno.
Service
One of the most memorable things about this place is the service itself. After coming for 10+ years we've seen some of the same faces, as well as new faces and nothing, changes about the top tier service we receive. It's nice to know a place that your family is known as a first name basis can still feel warm and welcome like you never left when its been a year or so between visits sometimes. The servers are always super nice and very fast and attentive.
Environment
The place has definitely gone through some heavy makeovers over the years (and for the better). Previously it had the old peppermill look and feel (purple and blue space looking carpet, ceiling, and interior). Now the place is much more modern and upscale (matching the updates the Peppermill have been going through). I'm glad to see the steakhouse get a more prestigious look it's always deserved.
Food
Bread
The bread has always been a lasting impression on me. Freshly baked with oil, vinegar, parm, and butter. Be careful, before you know it you might accidentally eat 2 loaves because it's so good.
Filet Mignon Beef Carpaccio (Seasonal)
This dish as simple as it sounds packed a ton of flavor and delivered a melt in your mouth experience. Sometimes, carpaccio makes me a little queasy but the freshness and the preparation was second to none and easily overcome my usual feelings about carpaccio.
Deep Fried Lobster
Small pieces of lobster, lightly breaded in a tempura-like batter and fried to the perfect crispness is definitely a must. The lobster maintained the perfect texture and didn't get rubbery. Don't forget to dunk them in butter!
Double Smoked Crispy Pork Belly (Seasonal)
The balance of the sweet hoisin bbq sauce and the salty fattiness of the slaw server with this dish was on point. The pork belly was also not just a hunk of fat but the perfect amount of rendered down fat with juicy meat.
Caesar Salad
The best part of the Caesar salad is that it is prepared fresh tableside. I've watched our server make this so many times that everyone in my family knows how to make this home as well. It's hard order Caesar salads anywhere else because of the high bar the Caesar here has set.
Beef Wellington (Seasonal)
I have been waiting for them to add a beef wellington to the menu and it was finally here! You guessed it, it was absolutely superb! Nice crispy, flaky crust on the outside with a perfectly cooked filet on the inside. I really hope they keep this on the menu as I can see myself coming back to order this again in the future.
Table Side Cocktails
They have a ton of house cocktails that are servered tableside (and at no extra upcharge or cost). Who doesn't like a little show with dinner ;)?
